Over 85% of materials used to produce baskets are designated as unsustainable, making storage & organization one of the least eco-friendly categories in the home. These materials have contributed to rampant deforestation (wood), unprecedented CO2 emissions (steel and metal) and the single use plastic crisis. To top it off, over 99% of these baskets are manufactured fully formed, which means that nearly every business in our industry ships predominantly air from foreign factories to our homes. What this translates to? 300,000,000 pounds of packaging waste last year, and equally harmful CO2 emissions.
